Kaisa is a sturdy wild grass that grows along the riverbanks in Bangladesh. When kaisa grass is dried, it changes color from natural light green to tan. The dried kaisa grass is woven to make baskets.

This is a set of three kaisa grass baskets. Each basket is hand woven by wrapping synthetic ribbon around a thick bunch of kaisa grass. Synthetic ribbon is carefully coiled to create a modern pattern. Small basket measures 9" in height and 9 1/2" in diameter, medium basket measures 10" in height and 11" in diameter, and large basket measures 11" in height and 13" in diameter.
