Set of Three Floral Ceramic Bowl Candles from Iraq

Set of Three Floral Ceramic Bowl Candles from Iraq.

Ceramic bowls are inspired by Iznik pottery. Iznik, a town in western Anatolia or Modern Turkey, is an established center for traditional hand-painted ceramics. Iznik pottery is known for simple earthenware with cobalt blue hand-painted designs under a transparent clear glaze. This ceramic tumbler is a modern adaptation of Iznik pottery with vibrant floral patterns. The floral patterns are inspired by hanging gardens of ancient Mesopotamia that today includes Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Iran, and Kuwait.

This is a set of three hand-painted ceramic bowl candles. They are hand-poured with slightly scented lavender wax by women artisans in Iraq. Small ceramic bowl measures 3.5" in width and 2.5" in height, medium ceramic tumbler measures 4.5" in height and 3.5" in width, and large ceramic bowl measures 6.25" in width and 3" in height. The candle is provided with an all-cotton wick. Each ceramic bowl candle is shipped in a bright-colored gift box. The ceramic tumbler can be used as a succulent pot or a decorative trinket bowl when the candle is finished. These are handcrafted items, so the product may vary slightly in color and craft from the images.
