Set of Three Jute and Rope Baskets from Bangladesh.
Hogla is the local name for a tiny bush like plant that is widespread along the banks of rivers and canals in Bangladesh. The plant looks like grass and grows two to five meters long. Dried hogla leaf is extensively used in mats, ropes and baskets.
Small basket measures 7" in height and 12" in diameter, medium basket measures 8" in height and 14" in diameter and, large basket measures 9" in height and 17" in diameter. Baskets are flexible with large loop handles. These baskets have a contemporary feel with black and white jute fiber braid. This is a handcrafted item, so product may vary slightly in color and craft from the images.
