Large Terracotta Hedgehog Planter from Bangladesh.
When fairly coarse, porous clay is fired, it assumes a color ranging from dull ochre to red. This baked clay is called terracotta and is popularly known by its color.
This is a large terracotta hedgehog planter. Each hedgehog planter is formed by hand, etched with geometric details and highlighted by a contrasting whitewash finish. These planters do not have a drainage hole in the bottom. Large hedgehog planter measures 8” in length, 6” in width and 4.5" in height. This is a handcrafted item, so product may vary slightly in color and craft from the images.
Planters are made by artisans in rural Bangladesh.
