When fairly coarse, porous clay is fired, it assumes a color ranging from dull ochre to red. This baked clay is called terracotta and is popularly known by its color.
A set of three striped terracotta pots in small, medium and large sizes. These terracotta pots are made by hand, etched with horizontal lines, baked and then white washed to create a simple rustic striped planter. Pots do not have a drainage hole in the bottom. Small, medium and large terracotta pot measure 4 1/4", 61/4", and 7 1/2" in height and 4 1/4", 61/4", and 7 1/2" in diameter. This is a handcrafted item, so product may vary slightly in color and craft from the images.
